"We are made of one body, one mind."

Class Yogic Style Descriptions:
  • Hatha Yoga poses incorporated in this class will strengthen and tone the back muscles and open the spine and hips. Poses also involve some foot reflexology excerises that stimulate the immune system and open the leg muscles for better balance and posture.
  • Laughter Yoga started in India in 1995. Developed by a medical doctor and his wife, a Hatha Yoga teacher, it is a stress relieving practice that incorporates yogic breathing, gentle postures and laughter, to leave you feeling refreshed, renewed and in high spirits.
  • Yin Yoga is a form of Hatha that embraces the principle of stillness by holding postures for 1-3 minutes. This releases deep, stored tension from the connective tissues in the joints. The practice can also release stored emotions. It is practiced as a form of yogic meditation with the eyes closed.
  • Restorative Yoga is the gentlest form of Hatha. It is the yoga of letting go and letting the posture work you, instead of you working the posture. The practice is centered around the use of props in order to place the body in positions of complete comfort for 10-20 minutes. Such relaxed positioning promotes feelings of bliss as well as the deep release of toxins, suppressed emotions and mental tension. This practice is also good for chronic health issues.

Sarah Lamb is a 500+ hour certified Hatha and Laughter yoga instructor. She has trained with Prana Yoga College in Vancouver, B.C., Swami Vivekenanda at Agama Yoga in Thailand, and Yogafit. In addition, she has taken workshops at yoga conferences with world-renowned teachers such as Seanne Korn and Gary Kraftstow.  Visit her website at lambsarah.googlepages.com/home.

Sarah’s journey into yoga began when her sister, Rebecca, died suddenly in 2000, and she was presented with the amazing healing powers of restorative yoga. Since then, she has decided to share yoga with others, believing that it facilitates a journey into Self for physical, emotional, and mental health and overall well-being. Starting in 2006, Sarah’s Inner Bloom Yoga has offered Stress Release workshops at local colleges, schools, as well as small group classes and private sessions.
