The Way of the Wave
An Introduction to Continuum Movement
with Priscilla Auchincloss

Saturday, April 17, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Continuum offers a radically different approach to movement.  We know that the fluid within our cells, tissues, organs and even the muscles and bones is essential to life and health.  But to sense this fluid and follow its motions, this is a different kind of knowing, revealing a different kind of intelligence.  The fluid system of the body has the qualities of all fluid: sensitivity, resilience, mutability, innovation, potency, eros, and tensegrity, among others.  Such qualities may be developed through the practice of Continuum.

This 3-hour introduction will take you through an exploration of the fluid system by way of the attention, the language of sensation, and the use of breath, sound, and micromovement, all basic elements of Continuum. The atmosphere will be informal, with questions encouraged, and there are no intricate routines or difficult positions.  You will take away skills to apply on your own, as well as a sense of what classes and workshops are like, and a sense of renewal and discovery.

Open to everyone - Please join us!

Cost: $30
If you are interested or have questions please contact Priscilla at

If after this session, you decide to attend the May 15 workshop with Elaine Colandrea, you may do so at the discounted early registration fee of $85.
