Awakening Our Fluid Nature and Arriving on Land A Continuum Movement Workshop with Elaine Colandrea inspired by Botticelli's well known painting, The Birth of Venus
Saturday May 15, 2010 1 ~ 6 pm at Physikos
Venus, born from the sea and carrying the sea within her cells, is a symbol of our fluid origins, whether we are male or female. In Botticelli's iconic painting, Venus is about to arrive on land, a symbol for the journey of embodiment we all make in life. The Birth of Venus is also a metaphor for the process of evolution, the mystery we all contribute to through how we live our lives. The breath, sound and movement explorations of Continuum awaken our fluid natures and inform our lives on land in ways that enhance renewal, resonance and endless creativity.
