These
classes are grounded in Bartenieff Fundamentals (BF), Laban Movement
Analysis
(LMA) and the instructor's 40 years’ experience of teaching the art of
holistic
motion. Each class is organized around a specific theme in space, time,
energy
or visceral connectivity. This theme is explored with simple yet deeply
effective exercises in both floor work and standing. Improvisation is
employed
to stimulate and release the kinetic imagination. The level of the class
is
determined by the participant, with combinations of movement designed
for the beginner
as well as the more advanced mover.Each class brings out the uniqueness of the individual yet
finishes
in communal attunement. The experience is always science and soul in
motion.
