what is continuum?
Consider: everything moves. In the context of the body, the heart beats, breathing ebbs and flows, blood circulates. Within and between every cell, molecules unfold, interact, and refold in an intricate biomorphic choreography. Still deeper, into the atom, is motion so fast and continuous that familiar notions of mass, time and space no longer hold. Movement is always present. Yet in the living body there is also coherency: everything moves together as an unimaginably complex orchestration, in which no part is sole conductor and all parts are cooperating.
Continuum is an inquiry into the realm of movement beyond any sense of “doing”, effort, or will. Such investigation leads to a body-mind frontier little explored in other modalities. We discover a kind of primordial movement wisdom, as if four billion years of evolution were stored within the organization of our tissues, poised to recommence the choreography of our unfolding existence. Instead of “doing” movement, we have a sense of being gently but precisely guided, as if the body knows what is needed for our well-being. Continuum offers you the conceptual guidance and skills for this entirely human, yet always personal exploration.
